Our Mission
Unauthorized curb cuts are not victimless. When public curb space is turned into private parking, neighbors lose valuable street parking and the block is changed without proper approval. Curb Cut Directory documents these conditions, organizes available public records, and helps residents better understand how curb cuts and front-yard parking affect Brooklyn neighborhoods.
Important Parking Warning
Even where a curb cut, driveway, or front-yard parking area appears to be unauthorized, drivers should not block a vehicle that is already parked inside the property from exiting. Blocking an occupied access point can create a separate legal issue, even if the underlying driveway or parking condition appears to be unauthorized.
This website is intended for public research and documentation only. It does not encourage confrontation, self-help enforcement, or blocking another person’s vehicle. Questions about parking, access, tickets, towing, or enforcement should be handled through the appropriate City agencies or legal channels.
